Q: How does Knox Configure work?
A: Knox Configure allows IT admins and System Integrators (SIs) to deploy customized profiles and settings to enrolled devices through the following process:
- IT admins and SIs purchase devices from authorized resellers.
- Resellers submit device information to Knox Configure.
- IT admins and SIs create device profiles with device configuration settings.
- IT admins and SIs associate devices with profiles.
- The Knox Configure client downloads profiles and applies settings to enrolled devices.
Q: What happens to Knox Configure settings once a device has been factory reset?
A: Once the end user has completed the Knox Configure setup, the device will remain enrolled in Knox Configure even after it has been factory reset. The device will download the Knox Configure profile and settings in the device profile will be applied again.
Q: What happens if the end user does not agree to the EULA?
A: Due to privacy regulations, the end user must agree to the EULA before the device can send information to the Samsung server. If you provide a Cancel button and the end user does not agree to the EULA, then the device does not enroll in Knox Configure and profiles are not pushed to the device. If you do not provide a Cancel button and the end user taps the back button, the user is prompted to complete Knox Configure enrollment every time the device is turned on.
