Create an Enterprise Edition profile
Samsung Enterprise edition devices and their enterprise licenses require a Knox Configure profile configuration that is unique and separate from non-Enterprise edition devices. Wearable Knox Configurable devices do not support Enterprise Edition licenses and profiles.
NOTE - Most of the profile configuration for an Enterprise device is the same as a non-Enterprise device. This topic only emphasizes the key differences. To define a Knox Configure Enterprise Edition profile:
- On the Knox Configure Portal, select PROFILES.
- Select the Create new profile button.
- You are prompted to choose between two profile types, either Setup or Dynamic. Choose Dynamic.
NOTE - Enterprise edition devices must use a Dynamic profile.
- If the Enterprise edition device is already uploaded, select the Enterprise Edition checkbox.
- If the device has not been uploaded, select the Enterprise edition checkbox.
NOTE - Once the Enterprise edition defined profile is deployed with a device, you cannot switch back to a non-Enterprise profile.
- When selecting a license to apply to an Enterprise profile ensure it has an EE to the right of the License name.
NOTE - Enterprise edition devices can only be activated with an EE license.
Distinguishing Enterprise profiles, devices, and licenses
To identify Enterprise profiles from non-Enterprise profiles:
- From the Profiles tab, review the listed profiles by Type.
- Enterprise version profiles have an EE appended to the right of the Dynamic profile name.
To identify Enterprise devices from non-Enterprise devices:
- From the Devices tab, review the listed devices by Model.
- Enterprise version devices have an EE appended to the right of the model name.
To identify Enterprise version licenses from non-Enterprise licenses:
- From the Licenses tab, review the listed licenses by both License name andType.
- Enterprise version licenses have an EE appended to the right of the License name and have ENTERPRISE appended to the right of the word Dynamic within the Type column.
